The ‘Work’ Series is drawn from the worksite I live in — the city of Sydney. From the new cycle ways to Prince Alfred Park, I have focused on heavy construction, and the workman is the icon.
Developing Sydney’s cityscape is something this city is looking at very closely at the moment. The bike paths; Barangaroo; Pitt Street Mall... What is being built will stay for many years to come, but my work focuses on the process of construction, which will be forgotten soon after these sites are completed.
